Like truly that kind of as-crude-as-you-can-be super graphic purposely offensive purposely uncomfortable genre that Reno 911 is a part of is normally NOT my fave bc most of the stuff comprising that genre is trash that starts and ends at its shock value & stupidity but Reno 911? Fully transcendent. The stupidity isn’t where it ends, it’s where it begins. I’d argue it’s actually one of the smartest comedies I’ve ever seen. It’s surrealist art. And I pee my pants like every episode
when people point out unethical practices in producing food popular with vegans we are not saying the meat industry is somehow more ethical we’re saying your enemy should first and foremost be capitalism because that’s the source of exploitation and environmental destruction. it’s a fact that some vegans downplay capitalism as a factor and put the blame primarily on consumption of animal products, which of course dives into terribble discourse.
in case anyone wants me be dumb of ass I haven’t eaten meat since I was like 10. would it be nice if people stopped eating meat, yes. but under capitalism it’s not gonna happen for a number of reasons, some involving the affordability of food and climate change eliminating food sources. so capitalism enemy #1 folxs.
